Teklanika Channel Lake These pictures were taken by myself in June of 07 and Aug of 2009. For sale is one lakefront lot consisting of 4.83 acres. This lake is located 15 miles southwest of Nenana, AK. Nenana is about 60 miles north of Denali National Park on Hwy 3. The lake does have fish in it, and the surrounding area has bountiful wildlife. The wildlife consists of bear, moose, wolves, deer, wolverine, and many other critters. The lake is packed with beaver. It would be great for a hunting and fishing retreat. The lake is marshy at the shores edge and the grass around the lake is wet, but the grassy areas near the trees are dry. There is only one small cabin on the opposite side of the lake. There is a good trail that leads from the main Hwy 3 at the city of Nenana to the property. There is physical and legal access year round using a float plane, atv, snowmachine, or plane with skiis to land on ice. Hauling building materials is much more economical to do in the winter. There was a forest fire at this lake in Aug 2009. Some pictures are before the fire and some are after the fire. The fire was 3 years ago and the area is recovering. The corners are marked with my flagging ribbons and the lot is surveyed and staked by the Dept of Natural Resources. The stakes are a little tough to find, but a handheld gps unit brought me right to them with a little seaching around the forest floor. The survey stakes have mushroom heads with clear markings and numbers stamped on them.
