Whether you’re looking for a place to visit, raise a family, build a business, or even to retire, you&#8217;re sure to find it in Ward County!” http://www.co.ward.tx.us/ips/cms Now this land that I’m selling is located about ten miles outside of a town called Pecos. I bought it a few years back as an investment property. This land isn’t too far from the Pecos river, maybe a few miles. I haven’t looked up the satellite maps in a while. It’s legal description goes as follows. Being a Tract of Land out of section 60 Block 33, HZ&amp;TC Rwy. Co. Survey, Ward County Texas. It then goes on to describe the legal boundaries of the land and so on. The taxes for this property are as follows. Property tax 12.09 for 2009 School district taxes for 2009 &#8211; 19.18 Why the school district charges more than the county is beyond me but I guess that just goes with it all. You may be able to get some sort of discount if you make it agricultural land or something of that nature. Taxes are paid up except for the school district tax, I think I owe about 30 bucks on that (mostly because of late fee&#8217;s as I&#8217;ve been procrastinating on paying it). I didn’t know about the school district taxes when I got it because I didn’t quite understand how to do my due diligence. That’s basically a fancy term for look stuff up so you don’t get screwed over. You should do your due diligence on ANY property you are thinking about buying, if the seller doesn’t want you to you should beware. I’ll try to make that part nice an easy for you. You can reach the school district at: 432 447 7261 and Ward County at: 432- 943-3294 (I think you may have to get transferred to the appropriate department with both of these numbers depending on what your asking) So if you call and ask them to look up the legal description above they should tell you that Jonathan Alspaugh (me) is the owner. They should also be able to tell you how many years I’ve been the owner if I’m not mistaken. Now I also have another lot, lot 58 which is right next to that one and then I have some right across the road. I’d probably be willing to sell lot 58 also but this auction is just for lot 59. The Photo&#8217;s in this listing are not of the ACTUAL property, but of the surrounding area. I’m not sure what conditions the roads are currently in but from my understanding it’s dirt roads. To be honest I’ve never actually been out to see it. It was just an investment property. I also understand that it’s just about 10 miles from Pecos county but you can look that up on <a href="http://www.google.com" class="kblinker" title="More about google &raquo;">google</a> maps if you like.
